He is an experienced financial services specialist with over 18 years of industry experience. He has extensive expertise in Business Analytics, Retail Banking, Regulatory Compliance, ERM, Cyber Security, and Leadership. Before joining ASA, Sulaiman held several senior roles at Standard Chartered Bank Sierra Leone Limited, including COO, CIO, Head of Retail Banking, Head of Compliance/FCR, and Business Finance Analyst. He is a Certified Business Analyst from Harvard Business School, USA, a Certified Compliance Officer (IABFM), and holds a BSc in Accounting from FBC USL.

Deputy Managing DirectorIn 2019, Mozahid joined ASA Microfinance SL Ltd as the Deputy Managing Director and Head of Operations. He has over 23 years of experience in microfinance operations and strategic management. He brings extensive leadership experience and operational expertise to ASA. Throughout his career, he has gained extensive experience in leading the operations team and providing strategic management leadership. Mozahid employs his expertise to conduct training, workforce planning, and capacity development to build a high-performing team. He holds a BSS (Hons) & MSS in Political Science. He is an expert in the ASA Model.

Chief Finance OfficerChernor joined AS International Microfinance SL Ltd in December 2025 as the Chief Finance Officer. Chernor is a disciplined Finance Professional with over 19 years of experience in the Private and Public sectors, with most of his career spent in the financial industry. Before joining ASA, he held several senior management positions at various institutions. He is a member of both the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in London and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sierra Leone (ICASL). He offers a broad range of expertise in accounting, auditing, banking, project management, strategy, risk, and controls.

System Administrator/Head of I.TAbdul joined ASA Microfinance Sierra Leone Ltd in 2017, after working at SLYDO, where he served as Head of IT and Senior IT Support at the Department of Cooperative SL, and as an ICT Consultant at Meloni International. He has over 12 years of experience in the ICT sector. He is renowned for his strategic vision and deep technical experience in leading digital transformation and innovative solutions to enhance organisational efficiencies. Abdul Rahman is a Microsoft Certified Professional with certifications, including Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate and Microsoft Certified System Administrator. He has a diploma in networking and a BSc in Computer Science.

Head of Internal AuditMohamed is the Head of Internal Audit and joined ASA Microfinance Sierra Leone in 2024. He has over 15 years of experience in accounting, taxation, and auditing. He served as a tax and accounting manager at Heineken Sierra Leone and as a tax and reporting accountant at Sierra Rutile Limited. He was a partner responsible for taxation at Moore Stephens Sierra Leone. Mohamed is recognised for his leadership and expertise in financial oversight and risk management. He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), holds the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) qualification, and has a bachelor's degree from Oxford Brookes University.

She has extensive expertise in regulatory compliance and implementing strong social responsibility initiatives. With her solid background in managing complex compliance frameworks and ensuring the organisation meets ethical and regulatory standards, she proactively promotes positive community relationships. In her career journey she has consistently prioritised stakeholder value, ensuring that projects align with social responsibility objectives. She leverages innovative branding strategies to amplify impact, create meaningful narratives and build trust. She holds a BSc in Economics.

Louisa is a dedicated HR and Training Manager with extensive experience in employee development, talent acquisition, and organisational growth. She excels at creating and implementing effective training programs that foster professional advancement and support company objectives. Louisa is also skilled in managing recruitment processes, handling employee relations, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and regulations. Her collaborative approach and strong communication skills make her a trusted partner for both management and staff. Mohammed Azim Hossain
Azim Hossain assumed the role of Chief of Operations ('CO') of ASA International in July 2023, having served as the Group's Director of Investment, Treasury and Risk Management since 2005. Mr Hossain has over 34 years of experience in the microfinance industry, having worked for 20 years at ASA NGO Bangladesh, where he held various positions including Director of Finance & MIS and Senior Finance Professional. At ASA Bangladesh, Mr Hossain established the finance and MIS systems, was involved in the development and design of the AMMS, assisted in the establishment of risk management frameworks and was in charge of the NGO Partnership Programme, providing technical and financial assistance to microfinance institutions. He has also worked with the UNDP MicroStart programme in the Philippines and Nigeria, where he was responsible for development, products and services, financial management, performance analysis and business planning.

Martijn Bollen is the Chief Compliance, Legal and Risk Officer (‘CCLRO’) of ASA International, having been the General Counsel of the Group since 2007. Mr Bollen has over 15 years of experience in the microfinance industry. He also serves as the General Counsel of Catalyst Microfinance Investors (‘CMI’) and has worked with Sequoia BV since 2005. Mr Bollen worked as an Attorney-at-Law in the banking and finance department of Loyens & Loeff from 2000 to 2004 and from 2004-2005 held roles as in-house counsel and Attorney-at-Law.

Mr. Charlie is a qualified Chartered Accountant and MBA Holder with more than 9 years of experience in Accountancy, Auditing, Taxation, Advisory Services, Business, Administration and Secretarial disciplines. He earned a postgraduate degree in International Business. He was the CEO of AMC Consulting Services. At present he is one of the Managing Partners of Decker & Partners. He was a Manager, Tax Advisory Services at Freetown Nominees Limited (2014 – 2015) and a Senior Associate, Tax Regulatory & Peoples Services at KPMG SL – (2011 – 2013).
