Mr. Khan has around 20 years of experience in different managerial positions. He is a MA & MBA (majored in Human Resources). He joined ASA Bangladesh in the Operations Division in 2008, as a Management Trainee. Thereafter, he was deployed to ASA Afghanistan Limited in 2009 until 2010, under ASA International, as a Chief Operating Officer. In 2011, he was transferred to ASA HR Department. In 2013, he joins again ASA International as an Assistant Director, Training & Human Resources. From 2014 to 2017 he is Head of Administration, Training & Human Resources at ASA Myanmar. He then moves to Sierra Leone to be Deputy Managing Director of ASA Sierra Leone. Since 2018 he has been the Managing Director.

Mr. Islam joined ASA Sierra Leone in 2019. He has vast experience in microfinance operations. A BSS (Hons) & MSS in Political Science, he has over 23 years of experience at operational and strategic management as well as at training, manpower planning and capacity building. He is an expert in the ASA Model. Prior to Joining ASA Sierra Leone he worked as an Operation Team Member at ASAI India.

Mr. Kamara has joined ASA Sierra Leone in 2018 as Chief Finance Officer. He is a member of the London based Association of Chartered Certified Accountant ACCA. He is a Master in Public Administration from University of Sierra Leone from the Institute of Public Administration and Management Department. He obtained a Bachelor of Science with Honors degree in Applied Accounting from the Institute of Public Administration and Management under University of Sierra Leone. He has more than 14 years’ experience in accounting & finance.

Mr. Jaman has joined ASA Sierra Leone in 2019. He has 10 years of experiences in various managerial positions including ASA Bangladesh. He is an MA in Economics from National University, Bangladesh.

Ms. Stronge started working for ASA Sierra Leone in 2018. She graduated from the University of Sierra Leone with a Bachelor of Arts degree before pursuing a Law degree from the University of London. She was called to the Sierra Leone Bar in 2004 and has since then garnered varied legal experience including but not limited to International Criminal Law as part of the Prosecution team of the Special Court for Sierra Leone. While away from Sierra Leone, she worked as a legal executive at two London firms before moving into Criminal Justice. She passed the Legal Practice course at The BPP Law School, with a distinction, preparing herself for a move to civil and corporate practice. Since returning home Ms. Stronge has been engaged with and has experience in amongst others, International Arbitration, international finance, Mergers and Acquisition, corporate Compliance, civil litigation, and mining law. She has advised clients on compliance issues in relation to exchange control law, and the validity of corporate documents as they relate to Sierra Leone Law.

Mr. Alghali joined ASA Sierra Leone in 2017. He has more than 10 years of experience in the ICT Sector. Previously he worked as an ICT Consultant at Meloni International, as a Senior IT Support Engineer in the Department of Cooperative SL Head of IT at Slydo. He is a Microsoft certified professional, Microsoft certified solutions associate, Microsoft certified system administration and has a diploma in networking.

Mr. Sesay is the HR-Training & Admin Manager since 2018. He has joined ASA Sierra Leone in 2016. Previously he worked as Senior HR Officer and Branch Manager at ASA Sierra Leone and before that as Procurement Officer at Sierra Leone Ports Authority. He is a BSc in Business Administration from the Institute of Public Administration and Management of the University of Sierra Leone and achieved the Certificate Program in Public Procurement Governance Global Practice and a diploma in Procurement and Logistics Management from Institute of Business Studies and Administration.

Mr. Kamara has joined ASA Sierra Leone in 2016. Formerly he worked as Area Manager cum Sr. Administrative Officer for ASA Sierra Leone. He has a certificate in Strategic Management, Human Resources. He is a Bachelor in Theology.

Mr. Dassama is a retired Chief Superintendent of Sierra Leone Police, with more than 39 years of experience in operations, security and investigation. He has Joined ASA Sierra Leone in 2019. He was a Local Unit Commander in different districts in Sierra Leone Police. He also worked in the United Nations Peace Keeping Mission.

Mr. Jalloh joined ASA Sierra Leone in 2016. He previously worked as a Branch Manager in ASA Sierra Leone, a Monitoring officer at National Tele Communication Commission, he has a certificate in project Management-Training Sol.SL and a diploma in Computer Studies from YWCA Vocational Institute.

Mr. Tholley joined ASA Sierra Leone in 2017. He has a MBA in Finance from Njala University, Sierra Leone. He obtained his BSc degree in Economics from Njala University as well. He has 14 years of working experience in Auditing. Previously he worked as Branch Manager in Guarantee Trust Bank (SL) Limited, Branch Manager at First International Bank (SL) Limited, Credit & Marketing Officer in First International Bank (SL) Limited and Internal Auditor at Pro Credit Bank (SL) Limited.

Dirk Brouwer

Dirk Brouwer co-founded ASA International in 2007 and has since served as the company’s Executive Director. He is also the Managing Director of Catalyst Microfinance Investors, which he co-founded in 2006. With over 20 years of experience in investment banking, and 11 in microfinance, he has held several senior and supervisory positions, having acted as a board member of CMI and Founder and Managing Director of Sequoia which he founded in 2002. Prior to this, he spent 14 years working at Merrill Lynch and PaineWebber.

Md. Enamul Haque

Md. Enamul Haque

Md. Enamul Haque is the Founder and Ex-Chairman of Credit and Development Forum and has been the Chief Operating Officer of the Group since 2008. Mr Haque has over 39 years of experience in the microfinance industry. Between 1987 and 2008, Mr Haque served in various leadership positions within ASA Bangladesh including Associate Coordinator, General Manager and Executive Vice President. He also led the ASA Bangladesh partnership program where he provided technical services to 32 NGOs or microfinance institutions in Bangladesh. Prior to working with ASA Bangladesh, Mr Haque served as a Field Coordinator for nine years at Proshika Human Development Center from 1978 to 1987. Mr Haque has also worked as a consultant in various organisations such as Save the Children (USA)-Jordan, UNDP-Bangladesh, CARITAS-Bangladesh, Plan International-Bangladesh, UNDP MicroStart Program- Philippines, Life Bank Foundation Inc-Philippines, Bank of Khyber-Pakistan, Facet BV-Netherlands, CORDAID-Bangladesh, SFD-Yemen, Kashf Foundation-Pakistan, UNDP-Nigeria, Bandhan-India, MISFA-Afghanistan, MBK-Indonesia, World Bank-Eritrea and many other local non-governmental organisations. Mr Haque is currently a board member of seven of the Group’s microfinance institutions and a governing body member of ASA Bangladesh.

Mr. Charlie is a qualified Chartered Accountant and MBA Holder with more than 9 years of experience in Accountancy, Auditing, Taxation, Advisory Services, Business, Administration and Secretarial disciplines. He earned a postgraduate degree in International Business. He was the CEO of AMC Consulting Services. At present he is one of the Managing Partners of Decker & Partners. He was a Manager, Tax Advisory Services at Freetown Nominees Limited (2014 – 2015) and a Senior Associate, Tax Regulatory & Peoples Services at KPMG SL – (2011 – 2013).

Mr. Aourongjeb is Managing Director of ASA Savings & Loans Limited Ghana (a subsidiary of ASA International) since 2013. He is an expert in microfinance operations which includes loans, savings, Insurance. He is also extensively experienced in training and collaborating with national & international organizations. Between 2009 – 2013 he was Executive Director in ASA Savings & Loans. He has a Masters in Arts of the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh and a Bachelor of Arts of the University of Calcutta, India. He is the publisher of “ASA Technical Assistance: A New Horizon in Global Microfinance” and a co-author of “Fundamental Changes in Traditional Micro-credit Concept and Practice”. He wrote twelve articles on Microfinance which have been published in the national Ghanaian dailies.

Mr. Bhuiya is the Managing Director of ASHA Microfinance Bank, in Nigeria and the Chairman of ASIEA (NGO-MFI), in Nigeria, both of which are part of ASA International. He is also the Deputy Director Operation/Program of ASA International. He has a MBA and is a Honorary Senior Member of The Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, a Fellow Member of the Chartered Institute of Loan & Risk Management of Nigeria, a Fellow Member of The Institute of Credit Administration, Nigeria and a Registered Member of the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria. He completed the Microfinance Certification Program and is a certified microfinance professional, organized by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
